My Story
In 1977 when it came my time to become a mother, I had my daughter at home with a midwife. It was an amazing experience, and the start of my continuing passion for the process of birth, supporting new families, and helping babies and their parents get off to a good start. Soon after my daughter was born, my life expanded into providing services to empower and assist others to find their way to happier healthier lives and births. My commitment and passion for the power and impact of good births and conscious beginnings with babies has only increased with the arrival of my grandchildren! I truly believe as women what we do as mothers and grandmothers is the most important work on the planet! And that there are as many paths and ways to do that work, as there are women! It is truly my joy as a doula, life coach, and clinical hypnotherapist to support and empower my clients to create lives they love through the changes and births in their lives. Because whether or not you ever have a baby, as a woman you give birth! It is what we do as women. We give birth to; ideas, relationships, love, hope, creative works, homes, and children.

When I look back, babies and families are the strongest
thread weaving through my life. I grew up the oldest of 5 children and a
helper; at home, the church nursery, and at well baby clinics (where my mom
was the nurse).
Over the years my life path has taken me down many roads.
Through a couple of marriages, the joys and trials of owning businesses, and my
own experience of beating cancer. Along the way I have studied;
science, psychology, NLP, EMDR, counseling, midwifery, childbirth education,
Mongan's HypnoBirthing™,
nutrition, herbology, and hypnotherapy. I have also attended over
235 births. It is the accumulation of all these experiences that has
helped make me who I am today, and the source of the knowledge (and hopefully grace)
that I bring to my work.
